Have you taken time to thank the Lord today? We don’t have to wait until He answers a prayer or bails us out of a tough situation. We don’t have to witness a miracle or receive some great blessing. We should be thanking the Lord every single day. He gives us the opportunity each day to serve Him. He places opportunities all around us if we will take time to notice them. Tomorrow when you wake up, let your first thought be, “Good morning, Lord,” not “Good Lord, it’s morning.” Start each day expecting God to do something great through you. 

Summer is over and all the fall ministries have begun here at Fee Fee. Our women’s, men’s and children’s ministries are going well. It is not too late to join one of our classes. It would certainly help you grow in your walk with the Lord. 

Welcome to Kraig Hufstedler who will be serving as our Interim Minister to Students. Kraig is a recent graduate of Hannibal-LaGrange College. He and his wife, Stephanie, live in Edwardsville. It is a delight to have Kraig on board. Pray for him and the youth and college-aged students in our church. The Fee Fee family have always been tremendous supporters of our youth and I know that I can count on you.

The Personnel Committee will be bringing a list of names to serve on the Student Minister Search Committee. They will present the list at the business meeting on Sunday evening, September 12. Pray now for the person the Lord is preparing for us. 

In October I will be teaching a class called, The Church of Irresistible Influence. It is based around a book that we will study by Robert Lewis. This class is for people who want to make our church irresistible to the Bridgeton area. It will meet every Sunday in October at 12:00 noon. We will have a light lunch in the Dining Room and the teaching will conclude at 1:30 p.m. sharp. The end goal is to select 7-10 events that we will do on a yearly basis in our community. Come and be a part of this important ministry. Childcare will be provided. 

Thanks again for your faithfulness. We need you to come, give, and serve if we want to be all God wants us to be. “This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
