We are very excited about beginning a new and fresh ministry for the children of our community. In just a few short weeks we will begin this new adventure. The Awana ministry is an international, Bible-centered children’s ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs, programs and training. Our goal is like that of the Awana ministry, to reach kids, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym Awana comes from the first letter of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.
We will be offering the following groups:

The Awana club is for preschoolers 2 years prior to kindergarten.
The Awana club for preschoolers is built on two premises:
- Young children can and should receive spiritual training.
- Home is the primary place for spiritual training.

Fun—and lots of it! Awana is fun with a purpose—to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool ministry into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

The Awana club “Sparks” for children in kindergarten through second grade.
Fun learning = results
Sparks club meetings combine learning with fun to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement for kids. Club meetings are divided into three segments:
- Bible teaching, worship, award presentations and gospel message
- Small Group interaction and completion of Bible-based lessons
- Age-appropriate games on the Awana game circle.

The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach third through sixth grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Many of today’s young people will become tomorrow’s church leaders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow—today.

 A. The Awana ministry embraces five principles:
- Awana is centered on the gospel.
- Scripture memory is a key element.
- Awana is exciting and fun.
- Children are trained to serve.
- Awana is built on volunteer leadership.
B. The Awana children’s clubs are 90-minute club sessions featuring three main segments: Game Time, Handbook Time and Large Group Time.
