I2 Ministries Volunteer/Donation Opportunities
Community Appreciation Team would like to thank police and firefighters and tree school staffs by delivering snacks and thank you cards from our church family. Will be distributing items after April 14. Sunday School classes, church groups and individuals are asked to bring pre-packaged peanuts (nuts), candy, granola bars, chips, beef jerky, peanut butter crackers and other snacks. There will be donation boxes in the foyer and near the cafe for collection of these items. In Process Currently! In InproIn!!
Street Clean-Up Team needs volunteers to help clean the streets around the church on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - noon. Trash bags and safety vest will be provided; bring your work gloves. Children (middle school age and up) are welcome to help but must have parental supervision. Contact Vance Stewart if you have any questions. Next Street Clean-Up date is TBA!
Adopt-A-School Team is enlisting volunteers for the following activities at Briarcrest School:
Christmas TREE - Giving out invite cards with information and inviting everyone to our TREE presentation. ACCOMPLISHED!
Handing Out Coffee & Hot Chocolate to people in ling lines at various locations. Usually, the Friday after Thanksgiving. ACCOMPLISHED! Next date is Friday, November 29, 2013
Coats For Kids Project - During the winter months we collected monies to buy coats and donated coats for school aged children in our community. ACCOMPLISHED!
Music in the Park - To provide an opportunity to share Christian music with our community at a local park. Pending
Clean up Parks in Bridgeton - Pick up trash, spread mulch, rake and etc. Pending
Loaves & Fishes - This newly formed i2 Team wants to help feed needy families for Christmas Please drop off items listed below to the collection bin marked Loaves & Fishes by December 16: apple or cherry pie filling, pie crust mix, canned yams, marshmallows, brown sugar, canned pineapple and mashed potato flakes. ACCOMPLISHED !

With compelling metaphors, Jesus described the church and its impact on the world. And indeed, filled with the Holy Spirit, the early church demonstrated a spiritual energy and depth that transformed the surrounding culture. Don't let our church settle for less! Using bridges as a metaphor for "irresistible influence" - or i2, we will show how our church can become a strong, well-traveled link between heaven and earth in our community.
