FALL FEST is fast approaching! Among the many others things we have going, we have yet another opportunity to welcome our community into our facilities.
THANKS for those of you who have already volunteered your time to help with games and activities for this event. We will need people to register everyone who comes through the doors, crafts, set-up and clean up crew, etc. If you or anyone you know can donate some nice door prizes, please let me know. Last year we had Ipods and bicycles, just to give you an idea of the kinds of prizes I mean.
Our preschool and children’s committees have asked that we continue our effort to have everyone that works with our young people (18 years old and younger) fill out forms to do background screening. Some of you have already had this done and you won’t have to have it done again if we have the paperwork. This is a major effort but one that needs to be taken care of for the protection of our little ones and those who teach them. Thanks ahead of time for your timely cooperation in this endeavor. We want to show our community that we will do whatever it takes to make ministry and safety of our children a priority.
Jesus said, Let the little children come to me…People who are like these little children belong to the kingdom of God. Mark 9:14

Discounted tickets can be purchased from Pansyetta Fleener: $16.00 for balcony, $18.00 for the main floor. See Pansyetta to get a ticket; her phone number is (314) 869-1718. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board if you want her to contact you, and indicate your desire for transportation to the matinee performance.
Fall Teams Now Forming
The Athletic Committee has posted sign-up sheets on the Athletic Bulletin board for Adult Co-ed Volleyball and Adult Mixed Bowling teams. You may sign up individually or get your team together and get signed up!
Teen MOPS
Teen MOPS is in desperate need of volunteers for the MOPPETS program (caring for the children while moms meet). Meetings take place two Fridays a month. Several volunteers are needed to rotate one Friday every other month from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Donations are also needed for the MOPSmart, craft nights, spa nights, paper products (paper plates, to-go containers, napkins, forks, spoons, etc.) and food for the dinners we provide. If you would like to help, please contact Sabrina Heidemann (314-623-4272) or Laura Paden (314-344-0236).
Mountain of Candy
Thanks for all the candy donated so far—the mountain is growing! We still need for you to bring more since we want and expect hundreds of children to attend our Fall Fest on October 31 in our new gymnasium. Boxes are in the Parlor to receive your donations.
Time Change Sunday—November 2
We’re only a few weeks away from “setting our clocks back” one hour for the end of Daylight Saving Time. Make a note on your calendars!
Campbell Soup Labels Our Women on Mission are still collecting Campbell Soup labels to send to missionaries to help them obtain items they need on their mission fields. But instead of the whole can label only the small portion which includes the UPC symbol (copy attached) is now needed for collection. If you can help collect the labels it would be greatly appreciated. A collection box is located in the Information Desk in the Parlor.

Donation Opportunity
Did you know that every time you shop at a local Schnucks Store you could be donating to Fee Fee Baptist Church? Schnucks has partnered with eScrip to donate a percentage of purchases to your chosen organization. Stop by the service counter and pick up an application; it’s free to you. Once you have selected FFBC as your recipient, just have your eScrip card swiped each time you purchase. It’s that simple.
Help Us Share the Good News The Fee Fee Public Relations Committee is looking for good news about the programs and events in our church. We want to share this information with both our church family and the community. We are looking both for coming events to publicize and for activities of groups in our church to report. Please contact a member of the Public Relations Committee with all the information about your event and to find out how we can help you spread the word. Current members are Phil Loder, Chad Daugherty, Miriam Kerns, Carol Rentz and Jim Tippey. Dennis Goskie is the staff liaison.
E-Giving
For those who use the internet for bill paying and purchasing, you might want to check out the option of giving to the church via E-Giving. Go to the church’s website (www.feefeebc.org) and click on the E-Giving link (there are two places on the home page for accessing this data). If interested, you may set up your own safe account which would allow only you to transfer any funds to the church. If you have any questions, please contact Jacque Till in the church office.
200th Anniversary Gift Items
The 200th Anniversary Chapel paperweights and key chains have finally arrived. If you preordered these items, you may now pick them up from the church office or in the Parlor on Sundays. A reminder to all classes and ministries that if you scheduled a meeting or activity, please call the church office to make sure there are no calendar conflicts. This would include activities away from the buildings, also. Call and speak to Ruth and she’ll see that your activity is scheduled with the appropriate custodial support, etc.

Dr. Joe Pewitt, our Senior Adult Director/Church Counselor, offers counseling services for our congregation at no charge. For an appointment, please contact Dr. Pewitt through the church office or call him at home (314-739-9366).
